Iconoculture landed in my inbox this morning featuring caffeinated beef jerky as a trending topic:

Snacking is enjoying somewhat of a resurgence; might the biggest strides be coming in functional snacks? For consumers, tasty product + popular functioning ingredient = desirability.

Question: when did snacking & caffeine ever decline in popularity? Also, I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that functional meat will probably not reach the pinnacle of popularity and is inherently creepy at its core.
That said, let’s add it to my list of things I would try for novelty’s sake if sent a sample. See: Drank
